Elistvere Visitor Centre is situated in RMK Tartu–Jõgeva Recreation Area, on the second floor of the entrance building of the highly popular Elistvere Animal Park. Elistvere Animal Park was established in 1997 and aims to share nature education and offer visitors a chance to watch wild animals in their natural environment. The visitor centre contributed to this aim by offering nature study programmes and organising events. It also introduces the recreation opportunities in the entire Tartu–Jõgeva area and offers educational programmes in the surrounding nature.

SightsThe visitor centre is situated in RMK Tartu–Jõgeva Recreation Area, in the entrance building of Elistvere Animal Park. In addition to exhibitions displayed in the visitor centre you can visit the animal park.

Driving directionsIf coming from Tartu, drive 12 km on Tartu–Jõgeva road, turn right towards Kukulinna and drive 3 km. Choose the right branch of the road and drive 6.7 km to the Elistvere village. The animal park is situated in the Elistvere village. If coming from Tallinn, drive to Jõgeva, then on Jõgeva–Tartu road up to Tabivere and turn left at the sign “Elistvere loomapark 6”.
