Liivjärve campfire site

Ida-Viru County, Alutaguse National Park
The campfire site is on the bank of Lake Liivjärv, one of the poorest in species among the Kurtna lakes. Years ago there were extensive forest fires on the banks of Lake Liivjärv. Surface area 4.7 ha and maximum depth 10 m.

RestrictionsThe campfire site is situated in Kurtna Landscape Reserve.
According to the nature conservation rules, motorised vehicle traffic is prohibited outside roads and paths. Campfires can be made only in designated sites.

Driving directionsOn the roundabout at the 8th kilometre on Jõhvi-Vasknarva Road, after "Pannijärve risti" bus stop, take the third exit left towards Alutaguse Recreation and Sports Centre. Drive 3.1 km and where the road turns abruptly to the right towards Alutaguse Recreation and Sports Centre, drive straight ahead to a gravel forest road. Go 1.2 km along the road up to a junction, where a sign directs to the right, downhill. Follow the sign and after 400 m you will arrive at the parking area of Liivjärve campsite.
