Mäe Nature House

During the time of a risk of a forest fire in Estonia: • You can make fire only in designated places. • You can make fire only with a wind up to 5 m/s. • Watch out your fire!
Mäe Nature House is situated in the Seto region in RMK Räpina–Värska Recreation Area, right on the shore of Lake Lämmijärv. The nature house occupies a farmstead built in the 1890s, of which the granary and residential house have survived. The name of the nature house, Mäe, originates in the fact that the building was once part of the Mäe section of the Räpina forest division. In the buildings of the nature house visitors can learn about traditional heritage—the life and history of the Seto community, going to the forest, logging tools, fishing and fishing gear, sauna culture, the biota of Lake Lämmijärv, fishes, and freedom to roam in state forests. The nature house welcomes groups of nature enthusiasts, who treasure quiet and privacy. The programmes offered by Mäe Nature House help visitors acquire new skills and knowledge.
