Padakõrve hiking trail (3.6 km)

To complete the trail, only gravel roads can be used.
The hiking trail runs along a gravel road in the forest, introducing the life of ants. Visitors can go along the gravel road only. At the roadside there are information boards and certain boards and signs at the ant hills. The trail can also be completed by a vehicle.

RestrictionsThe hiking trail is located in Padakõrve Nature Reserve. Camping and making campfire and walking aside of the roads and paths is not allowed. To organise public events with more than 10 participants and driving ATVs, a written permission must be obtained from the protected area manager (the Environmental Board +372 662 5999; info@keskkonnaamet.ee).

Driving directionsOn Jõhvi-Tartu-Valga Road (No. 3), drive 8 km from Tartu towards Jõhvi, turn right at Aovere and drive 14.5 km towards Kallaste. In Kusma village turn left (sign "Välgi 12") and drive 7 km to the intersection, and turn right there. Then drive 4.5 km straight on up to the protection area information board, which marks the start of the trail.
